A special issue of Nautilus Magazine was published
in September 2024 covering the content of our
event ‘The Art of Saving the Ocean: How Island
Restoration Saves People and Nature’. The event was
a collaboration between the Bertarelli Foundation’s
Marine Science Programme, Re:Wild and Nautilus to
bring discussions of island and ocean conservation
to new audiences. In this Nautilus Magazine special
issue, you can find a full overview of the day’s
conversations with a few pieces covered more
in-depth. It includes pieces on ‘What “Wild” Really
Means’, ‘Bringing Islands Back to Life’, ‘The Varied
Roads to Rewilding’ and ‘How Big Business Can Fight
Climate Change’. A flipbook version is available to
read online.
